This exhibition is a big retrospective of Robert Mapplethorpe, who is one of the best American photographer in 20th century.
157 works were shown in total including early collages, sculptures, polaroids, photographs, necklaces and two video works. This is the first time to show necklaces and two video works "Still moving/Patti Simith"(1978) and "Lady"(1984) in Japan. Necklaces made by him when he lived with Patti Smith in his youth are very rare.
