City redevelopment has been done actively over last few years in Japan. The function of a city, scenery, and culture has started to change. ThinkPark, a new building opened in October 2007 in front of the Osaki station, Tokyo, was also one of the major city redevelopment projects in Japan. ThinkPark was born under the concept of "A city, where ideas grow up" and its keywords are green urbanism and a forest of communication. It suggests a new way of being in a city and natural environment.
In the symposium, we invited four specialists, who took part in the ThinkPark project, and they talked about ThinkPark from their professional point of view; Junji Maruyama as a developer of the ThinkPark, Kenji Utunomiya as a branding consultant, Tatuya Hiraga as a landscape designer, and Motoshi Chikamori as an artist who exhibited artworks at ThinkPark.
